This workshop takes you through the process of developing your design brief through to sketching and hand-drawing your own 1:100 scale concept plans. Learn about solar passive and feng-shui design principles to improve the comfort and well-being of your home. Learn the most common design mistakes and how to avoid them.
This course is a must for anybody wishing to design your their own studio, cabin, holiday retreat or dream home.

- Owner-builders - Prepare Your Own Working Drawings for Shire Approval with Sharon Jacobsen, Environmental Designer
Learn step-by-step from an industry professional how to hand-draw your own high quality working drawings for council approval. Learn the common reasons why your plans will be rejected by the shire and how to make sure your plans are approved the first time. This course is a must for anybody with some time on their hands who wishes to learn how to prepare their own high-quality working drawings for council approval.
Note: The course does not include engineers structural drawings, which must always be prepared by a certified structural engineer.

Not able to learn by yourself from the online tutorials? Then this course is for you. Learn the basics to get you started drawing in 3D with the latest version of Google Sketchup. (Available free from Google)

The wind turbine constructed during this workshop will be donated to the Parkerville Steiner School. All proceeds from the workshop will be donated to the Steiner school for construction of a mast and installation of the wind turbine by a suitably qualified electrician.
